Hi Catrel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers. 
I’ve been cooking since around the age of 11. I spent a lot of days in the kitchen learning from my great auntie and my uncle on the BBQ pit; over the years, my passion for cooking grew stronger. I had a lot of trial and error in my early 20s learning how to BBQ and tweaking my own recipes to make my food taste good and hoping people would enjoy; people ask me do I consider myself a chef, I say no, I tell them I’m southern taught, just good southern country cooking, food that’s going to make you feel good inside while eating it. I always wanted to start a food business but was scared to fail; once covid came in 2020, that was when I knew it was time to step out on faith. I started with my seafood boils and BBQ, and it just took off from there; I just recently launched my All-Purpose seasoning and also my seafood garlic butter sauce. I’m excited to see where God takes me on my journey because it’s just getting started. I am a home-based business located in Richmond, TX. I offer a wide variety of foods, but I specialize in seafood boils and BBQ. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it has not; losing my mother at an early age dealing with depression at an early age, and having to overcome different obstacles really played a big part; some of the struggles were getting started, funding the business, having to shut down my business and go back to my job to make ends meet, at times business was so slow I couldn’t stop working, God has made a way and continues to provide for me, so I lean on him to guide my every step. 

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a construction safety manager, but when I’m not at my regular job, I love to be in the kitchen or outside on the pit, I like to call myself a jack of all trades; I do it all, and if I don’t know how ill learn how lol, I specialize in my seafood boils and my tasty BBQ, I’m known for my big heart and smile, my personality, just an all-around people person, I’m most proud of beating the odds of people saying I can’t do this, and I won’t be successful, I feel like my personality and food sets me apart from others, this my passion, so when I’m cooking its nothing but love seasoned into my food.
