Life & Work with Chelsea Brady

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Brady.

Hi Chelsea, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I have always had a passion for health and fitness. My father turned 88 at the end of Feb. From a child, I have seen him mobile and healthy. I wanted to adopt that lifestyle for my life! I did not want to be older with health problems. I wanted to live a lifestyle that would have me vibrant in my older years and not be physically restricted. In high school, I started my journey with the Westside High School football team as a trainer. My job was to provide hydration for the football players, assist with stretches and wrap some ankles for practice/ game day. However, when I was on the job, I took it much more seriously than just that. I was interested in the performance part of football. I was intrigued at the attention to detail it takes to make a healthy athlete. It’s much more than the time that’s on the field. It’s in the nutrition, warm up, strength and conditioning, cool down, stretching, rest and so much more. After high school, I perused medical assistant and x-ray technician. I quickly realized I did not want to be inside an office or hospital all day, I realized that I wanted to be hands on in prevention of disease. From that realization, I decided I wanted to be a personal trainer. I wanted to aid in helping people become the best versions of themselves physically and mentally. I started my personal training journey with a group fitness company by the name of Camp Gladiator. I learned so much from the company when it came to group fitness and how to make a community of supportive athletes. I then moved on to Mean Green Training Center with Chris Green; I learned what it takes to run a small business and I gained my CrossFit background from the Mean Green family. Today I run my own business. Relentless Fitness & Training!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This journey has most definitely not been a smooth road. I am still fighting the good fight today. The decision of leaving corporate America to live out a personal Training dream that did not have the best financial job security was not an easy decision. Bumping my head through the industry. Learning the do’s & don’t and the different modalities of fitness to stay relevant. The hardest decision was to leave a promised check to working for yourself and not knowing how you were going to survive financially. I am working on three years as a business owner, and my goal today is growth into a building. My own storefront.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a personal and sports performance trainer. I specialize in strength and conditioning training. I am known for killer workouts. What sets me apart from others is the passion I have for change in the positive direction.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My parents have been a huge part of my success. Always supporting me through all the changes on my journey.

My husband is another huge supporter in my success. There probably would not be a Relentless Fitness if it was not for him giving me a swift kick in the butt to let me know I CAN DO THIS…

This Fitness family loved and supported me all the way. I learned so much!

Renee Rivellini was my first mentor in the fitness industry. I would not be the trainer I am today without her sweet soul leading the way.
