Today we’d like to introduce you to Chrissy Johnson.
Chrissy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. I come from a big and loving Family. Ever since I was 10 years old. I inspired to become a writer one day, and in fact, I started writing in my diary as well as writing poetry. I knew that I was destined to become more than my current childhood circumstances. Once I navigated through life changes and I moved to Houston, TX, during Hurricane Katrina. That alternating life-changing moment will always be detrimental my drive because not only have it made me stronger as an independent woman. It also forced me to look at all of my outcomes presented to me in a different light. Fast forward to 2020-Pandemic/ Covid-19 is when I really stepped outside of my comfort zone and branched out into getting more Creative in all of my Hopes and dreams. I started to Brand myself as CECE💫Inspires, in which my nickname alone holds so much weight in my evolution process. Through this name, I branded myself into other avenues and accomplishments for my future. I’ve been hosting my very own Podcast-CECE Inspires for the past 3 years now in which it has become very successful globally as well. Through this unplanned path That I took once I stepped outside of my comfort zone, I begin to get back my passion for writing again in which I have my online blogging site specifically for inspiring people through my words, and one day aspire to become an Author. I also have started my online store that I also market and sale CECE Inspired products. Looking back on all that I have overcome and survived, the name CECE inspires has been really fitting for me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have not had a smooth road in coming up as a young lady and now a grown woman. I was faces with more struggles and challenges that most would gave up on themselves and the situations that have been placed in. Without my Faith in God, I would’ve never made it through any of it. My Faith has kept me all along.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I would like to consider myself as a Creative Influencer. I am most known for my Inspirational & Motivating Podcast called “CECE💫Inspires,” in which I am the voice for the voiceless in a sense. I would say that I specialize in being a Healer and Inspiring others to become the Best Versions of themselves. I am Most proud of my Resilience in never giving up on me. I’ve been Uniquely different and always march to beat of my own drums. I never wanted to fit in per se but stay out and do my own thing in whatever that means to me “Creatively.”
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I would that I am always evolving, but most people do not know that I also wanted to become a Singer.
