Founded in 2018 by Preacherkid Chris, P.A.C.MAN was created with a vision that extends beyond clothing. Born from the culture of Alief, Texas, P.A.C.MAN stands for Protect All Culture—a movement dedicated to inspiring confidence, preserving community, and representing the people who help shape it.
What began as an idea in a bedroom closet has grown into a lifestyle brand rooted in purpose. As a former student-athlete at Texas Southern University, Chris envisioned a brand that would not only deliver premium streetwear but also give back to the communities that inspired it. Through charitable initiatives and partnerships with organizations supporting at-risk youth, P.A.C.MAN continues to invest in the next generation while creating opportunities for others to grow.
In 2021, P.A.C.MAN expanded its impact by hosting a community showcase that brought together emerging fashion brands, local vendors, artists, and comedians—creating a platform that celebrated Houston’s creativity and culture.
Today, P.A.C.MAN blends premium craftsmanship with authentic streetwear, offering thoughtfully designed apparel and exclusive collections that reflect individuality, resilience, and culture. Every piece represents more than fashion—it’s a statement of purpose and a reminder to protect the culture that shapes us.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Building a luxury essentials brand comes with its share of challenges, especially when you’re responsible for wearing every hat; from creative director and designer to marketer, photographer, promoter, and business owner. Every collection represents countless hours of vision, discipline, and dedication to building a brand that can compete on both a local and national level.
At its core, P.A.C.MAN is driven by a genuine passion for fashion, creativity, and community. Our mission is to inspire and unite people by celebrating the many cultures, stories, and experiences that continue to shape the fashion world. We believe style is more than what you wear—it’s a reflection of identity, heritage, ambition, and purpose.
Creativity has the power to transform ideas into movements. What begins as a passion can evolve into a small business, and with consistency, faith, and commitment, grow into something that reaches communities across the country. That’s why P.A.C.MAN is committed not only to building our own brand, but also to shining a light on the entrepreneurs, creators, and local businesses whose vision and dedication deserve recognition. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Currently, I work as a licensed insurance adjuster. While I prefer to keep my employer private, I genuinely enjoy what I do because it allows me to help people navigate challenging situations with professionalism and care.
Outside of my career, I spend time giving private basketball training sessions with my son and a few other young athletes. Basketball has always been a significant part of my life, dating back to my playing days at Texas Southern University. Looking ahead, I hope to become more involved on the coaching side of the game, mentoring the next generation both on and off the court. One of my long-term goals is to build a community gym, a place where young athletes can develop their skills, build confidence, and have access to positive mentorship and opportunity.
What sets me apart is the foundation I was raised on. At heart, I’m a preacher’s kid, and many of the values that guide my life come from my mother’s ministry, leadership, and unwavering mentorship. She has made a lasting impact on countless lives through her faith and service, and I consider it a true blessing to have been raised by someone who consistently led by example.
Like many sons, my brothers and I had our hard-headed moments growing up, but through her love, discipline, and prayers, she never stopped believing in us. Looking back, I can honestly say she raised some remarkable men. Her influence has shaped the way I lead, the way I serve others, and the way I pursue my purpose. The faith, resilience, and integrity she instilled in us continue to guide me in every area of my life, from my family and career to P.A.C.MAN and the vision I’m building for the future.
How do you define success?
Whatever goals you set for yourself, no matter how big or small, pursue them relentlessly. Success isn’t measured by comparison, it’s measured by the vision, purpose, and fulfillment you create for yourself. At the end of the day, your greatest competition is the person you were yesterday, and your greatest success is becoming the person you’re called to be.
