Life & Work with Courtney Harris

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Courtney Harris again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Courtney, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Thank you so much for having me again! It’s an honor to reconnect with Voyage Houston.

For those who may not be familiar with my journey, my name is Courtney Harris, and I initially made my mark in the fashion industry. I’ve always had a passion for design—whether it was through textiles, color theory, or the way structure and function intersect in clothing. Over the years, that passion naturally expanded into interior design, and I’m excited to share that I’ve since launched my own design firm, **CSH Interiors**.

At **CSH Interiors**, I specialize in blending **style and functionality** to create beautifully curated spaces that enhance the way people live in their homes. My background in fashion allows me to bring a unique perspective to interior design—whether it’s understanding how textures play together, selecting colors that evoke certain moods, or designing spaces that feel both timeless and personal. I love working with my clients to create designs that reflect their personality and lifestyle while ensuring every detail is intentional and purposeful.

My journey from fashion to interiors has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the opportunity to work on everything from custom closet designs to full-scale home transformations. What sets me apart is my ability to merge **aesthetic appeal with practicality**, ensuring that every space is not only beautiful but also truly livable.

It’s been amazing to take my years of experience in design and channel it into creating homes that inspire. I’m excited for what’s ahead with CSH Interiors, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my story with your readers again!

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
So much has changed since our last conversation, and I’m excited to share what I’ve been working on! Since transitioning from fashion into interior design, I’ve been focused on growing my firm, **CSH Interiors**, and establishing my presence in Houston’s design community.

Right now, my main priority is expanding my client base through referrals and building strong connections with real estate agents, builders, and developers. I love collaborating with industry professionals to create thoughtfully designed spaces that are both stylish and functional. It’s been incredibly rewarding to take my expertise in design and apply it to transforming homes in a way that truly enhances how people live.

Of course, stepping into a new phase of my career comes with its challenges, but the journey has been exciting. Every project teaches me something new, and I’ve been embracing the process of growing **CSH Interiors** while honing my creative vision. What excites me most right now is the opportunity to work on diverse projects that push my creativity—whether it’s reimagining a space for a homeowner or bringing a fresh perspective to a new build.

Houston has such a dynamic design scene, and I’m looking forward to making my mark by creating interiors that blend beauty with practicality. I appreciate the chance to share this next chapter with you, and I’m excited for what’s ahead!

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
What I want people to remember most about me and my brand is the deep level of intention and care that goes into every project. Designing a home isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about creating a space that truly reflects and supports the people who live in it.

I’m big on astrology and psychology, and I use both to better understand my clients and what will make them feel most at home. Everyone has unique energy, preferences, and ways they interact with their space, and I love diving into those details to design something that feels deeply personal.

As a Cancerian, nurturing comes naturally to me, and I bring that same warmth into my work. Home is such an important part of our well-being, and I take pride in creating spaces that feel like a sanctuary—comfortable, functional, and full of personality. Whether it’s through color choices, layout, or the smallest decorative details, my goal is to make sure my clients feel truly at home in their space.

Houston and its greater area have such a rich design landscape, and I love being a part of shaping it in a way that blends beauty with emotional connection. At CSH Interiors, it’s never just about the look—it’s about how a space makes you feel.
