Hi Crystal, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Southern Belle Vanity was the first Southern Belle Electrolysis. I initially started doing electrolysis to help so many people achieve their goal of unwanted facial hair. After some time, I also found interest in beautifying brows, so in addition to Electrology I’m now a Brow Artist Electrologist and changed the name of my business to reflect more services. I’m also the only Brow Artist Electrologist in my area that I know of that can permanently remove unwanted brow hair after your semi-permanent brow procedure.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve had normal small business challenges and also some huge ones…I opened my office in the building my husband and his brother owned a construction company, and a year later, they sold the company and considered selling the property. They made the decision to keep it, and over the last year, we have remolded and redecorated this old dirty warehouse into a beauty warehouse… We now have an aesthetic dentist and lash artist also running businesses from the building now, so with faith and lots of prayers, I think we are heading in such a positive direction.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I do Electrolysis hair removal; it’s the only FDA-approved PERMANENT method available… I see a lot of women with PCOS to remove unwanted hair… among many other clients as well for the same reason.
I also offer an array of brow services… PMU brows, laminations, tint, and henna… This really allows me to let the artistic side out.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Definitely my husband, he is my biggest supporter, and without his decision to keep this property, I wouldn’t be in this position today… This is his family’s property, so I have to give His mom and siblings a shout out for allowing us to use it as we see fit.
