Life & Work with Dat Tran of Houston and surrounding areas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dat Tran.

Hi Dat, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Tulane undergrad and medical school, pediatric residency at BCM/TCH, allergy/immunology training at NIH. Returned on Houston in 2010 and did immunology research at McGovern Medical School. Promoted to tenured professor and resigned my position in 2017 to pursue private research and clinical care. Opened Innovative Allergy in 2017 and currently expanded to 8 clinics around Houston. Innovative Allergy is unique and innovative, offering EatFreely oral immunotherapy to treat food allergy. We also offered Ollereg sublinqual immunotherapy to treat environmental allergy as an alternative to allergy shots. Both EatFreely and Ollereg are my invention. I also have another invention called Esoygen which helps hormonal imbalance in women. EatFreely has been the most impactful, helping those with food allergy live a normal life again. With EatFreely, we were able to get adults with peanut allergy joined the military, otherwise they were disqualified.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest and ongoing hurdle is bringing awareness of our services and innovations to our communities.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Making an impact to communities and people around the world is my biggest mission and life-long desire. Through my nonprofit organization, TranScience, I am constantly finding ways that can meaningfully change people lives. Our new mission is to setup virtual assistant centers in rural communities around the world so we can train the people there to offer virtual assistant services around the world and provide a sustainable income to that community.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Holly Phan-Tran, my wife, who is pivotal in the operation.
My kids, Rilina and Dylan, so contribution to the research, invention and marketing. They both help create BubbleLick, which is an edible bubble product, which we sold the patent to Bubble Universe: https://www.bubbleuniverse.com/

Pricing:

  • EatFreely: $3000 per treatment
  • Ollereg: $50 per month
  • Esoygen: $30 for 2 month treatment
