Today we’d like to introduce you to DeMesha Watson.
Hi DeMesha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started Ravishing Scrubs and More with my mom. For about a year I followed this scrub wholesaler. I watched her success story and journey throughout this industry. Becoming a serial entrepreneur is something that I always wanted. Shortly after my mom and I decided to give it a try and we begin to invest. Then we stopped for awhile. So one day I was sitting in my living room and said to myself, “What’s your next move?” We had already started investing into the business, but let distractions interfere. Once I became focused, shifted my mind set, and put in the work we launched Ravishing Scrubs and More. Although the business isn’t quite were we would like it to be, we’re truly thankful for the experience and the journey!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road hasn’t been easy at all. The biggest struggle was focusing and coming up with a unique plan to get the business out there.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Outside of the scrub business I also have a tax company. The Tax General located in Southwest, Houston. My focus now is to expand my tax office and go into a retail location with the scrub business. Moreover, before taking this leap of faith and becoming a full time entrepreneur I was employed with the United States Postal Service. This was a job I wanted for years to later on realize it wasn’t for me. My heart just wasn’t there.
I’m known for just being DeMesha. I’m very fun to be around, outgoing, helpful, weird in my own little way, and determined. I’m most proud of the woman that I’ve become. What sets me apart from others is that I’m not afraid to fail. If it’s something that I want to do, I do whether it succeeds or flops.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising! I’ve always wanted to be a plastic surgeon. At times I think about going back to school to pursue my dream of becoming one.
