Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Kimberly Rose.
Hi Dr. Kimberly , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up with my mother, who was a deeply caring and loving nurse. Watching how much she poured into her patients inspired me to want to help people too—but I also saw firsthand how the traditional medical system often focused on treating symptoms rather than the whole person. That experience planted the seed for my passion for holistic care.
After high school, I knew I wanted to help people in a more natural and integrative way, so I enrolled in a Holistic Health Practitioner program. That’s where I fell in love with learning about Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, sports massage, Shiatsu, Lomi Lomi, Reiki, and holistic healing. I graduated in 2011 and soon after moved to Texas, ready to start helping others on their wellness journey.
I worked as a massage therapist for many years and absolutely loved it—but deep down, I knew there was more I wanted to understand about the body and healing. In 2018, my world shifted when I lost my mom very suddenly. She had been trying to get healthy and decided to have gastric surgery for weight loss, but tragically passed just one month later. Losing her was devastating, but it also became the reason I do what I do today. I couldn’t help her, but I knew I wanted to help others find better, more holistic paths to wellness.
After losing her, I dove even deeper into health and movement, earning my Yoga Instructor certification and CrossFit Coaching certification. That time helped me reconnect with my body and reminded me how powerful movement, mindfulness, and community can be in the healing process.
That same year, I went back to school to earn my Bachelor’s in Human Biology, and later my Doctorate in Chiropractic. It was a seven-year journey that deepened not just my knowledge, but my purpose.
With over 14 years of massage experience and my chiropractic degree, I opened Holistic Rose Wellness—a space created to bridge the gap between holistic healing and the western medical system. My dream is to continue expanding into a full wellness studio that offers chiropractic care, massage, yoga, IV therapy, herbalism, and nutrition. I want it to be the first stop for anyone seeking to live a healthier, more balanced, and empowered life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many small business owners and healers, my journey has been filled with both beautiful moments of growth and some really tough lessons. Going back to school as an adult while working full-time wasn’t easy—I spent years balancing classes, clinic hours, and clients while trying to stay grounded and keep my vision alive.
Losing my mom was one of the hardest experiences of my life. Grieving while pushing forward with my education and career took an incredible amount of emotional strength. And just when I thought I had found my footing, I went through a divorce while in my doctorate program. That really took the wind out of my sails.
In those moments, I leaned on the words my mom always told me: “Keep following your dreams. I love you dearly. Love, Mom.” I carry that message with me every day—it’s even tattooed on my thigh in her handwriting. Remembering her belief in me kept me going when I wanted to give up. I couldn’t let all of those dreams, or her legacy, go to waste.
Starting a business from the ground up came with its own challenges too—learning how to navigate marketing, finances, and growth while staying true to my purpose of holistic care. But each obstacle has shaped me into the person and practitioner I am today.
Through it all, I’ve learned that healing and success aren’t linear. They require patience, faith, and a lot of resilience. Every struggle has deepened my empathy and strengthened my mission to help others on their own paths to wellness.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Holistic Rose Wellness, I specialize in blending chiropractic care with holistic healing to help people feel balanced, empowered, and truly at home in their bodies. My approach goes beyond just treating pain—I focus on understanding the whole person: body, mind, and energy.
With over 14 years of experience in massage therapy and a Doctorate in Chiropractic, I combine multiple healing modalities like cupping, energy work, and soft tissue therapy to create individualized care for each client. My goal is always to get to the root of what’s going on, not just relieve surface symptoms.
I’m probably best known for creating a calm, welcoming space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Healing can be deeply personal and even vulnerable, so I strive to make every visit a space of trust, connection, and transformation.
My mission is to empower, encourage, and educate—because I believe those three things are deeply connected to my God-given purpose. I want people to know they have the ability to take charge of their own wellness and to feel guided, not just treated, on that journey.
What I’m most proud of is being able to bridge the gap between holistic health and the western medical system. I love helping people realize they don’t have to choose one or the other—true wellness comes from integration and balance.
What truly sets me apart is the heart behind my work. Every part of what I do is rooted in compassion, faith, and purpose. Holistic Rose Wellness isn’t just a business—it’s a mission to help people rediscover their strength, their peace, and their potential to heal naturally.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
One fun and unique aspect of my work is something I call energetic portraits. During an energy session, I tune into the client’s energetic field—the subtle frequencies, emotions, and imbalances that make up their personal energy. After the session, I translate what I sense into visual form, creating an intuitive art piece that reflects their current energetic state.
Each portrait is completely unique and filled with colors, shapes, and symbols that represent different aspects of their energy—things like flow, balance, areas of strength, and areas ready for release or healing. It’s a creative and beautiful way for clients to see what’s happening in their energy on a deeper level.
It’s one of my favorite parts of what I do because it blends my love for art, intuition, and healing. Clients often say their energetic portrait helps them connect to themselves in a new way—almost like seeing their soul on paper.
