Today we’d like to introduce you to Hayli Howard
Hi Hayli , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up dancing and tumbling when I was little. I have always loved helping people to see their fullest potential.
I started teaching gymnastics at the age of 15 and was trained to really pay attention to the whole person, then I transitioned to AcroDance and I fell in love with encouraging confidence and helping students learn the fusion of dance and the athleticism of acrobatics.
AcroDance with Hayli started a couple years ago. The goal I really wanted was for students to leave classes or lessons feeling valued from head to toe. I truly do not believe we are meant to do life alone and love rooting for their wins!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A quote that I love by Crystal Sparks that I put on replay during moments of doubt or challenges is “You’ve got to be okay that there’s going to be people that don’t think you’re qualified. You’ve got to be OK that there’s some people that want to see you fail. You’re going to have to be OK that there’s going to be some people that never understand you, that never support you, that never cheer you on & you’re OK to do it without their applause. You’re OK to do it without the approval. I wasn’t doing this for you anyway.”
Because truly the goal is for the students to succeed in what they are coming to me for and I always want that to be my focus.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What sets AcroDance with Hayli apart and what we specialize in is, we teach head to toe coaching.
We focus on mindset coaching, injury prevention, and acro-tumbling skills.
I am most proud of the team that has believed in my vision and really just come along side me to help me build this culture. It’s such a blessing!
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I am excited to see athletes beginning their preparation for collegiate-level skill sets earlier. Prioritizing a focus on mental health, injury prevention, and the development of a broader range of acro skills.
