Today we’d like to introduce you to Helen Leal.

Hi Helen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For at least 15 years, I evolved into my true passion for organizing events and especially weddings. When I attended a church in Houston, my gifts just busted in 2017 because of my passion. I love to see the brides’ dreams come true and make the event come to life. At either stage of the planning process, my clients become a part of me.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Venturing out into your own business is always scary especially going live during COVID. The struggle of not knowing what was going to happen was the ultimate scare. There is so much business in Houston and surrounding areas, thankfully, I’ve been blessed that my clients and their events have been destinations.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Helen Leal is an event planner/coordinator and a talent advisor who provides individuals with the most important details to their life’s next steps.

Before starting this endeavor of event planning, Helen has spent the past 20 years as a talent advisor finding talent for various oil and gas organizations throughout Texas and Louisiana areas. She connects and organizes for corporate meetings, weddings, parties and showers. After a successful career helping organizations find talent and personal friends with their wedding venues, parties, and showers, Helen helps individuals find the right feel for their dream event.

Helen loves to empower others by guiding them with her life experience and is committed to our clients’ details and their dreams.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I would like to shout out Frances Hayes and Jodi Carlsen for being mentors throughout my 20 years of professional career, to Alex Garro and CTEspanol for supporting this endeavor, to Fatima Martinez, Judy Chavez, and Thamara Haigler for continuing to be my prayer partners and cheerleaders. I can count on them to bounce ideas off of. And, of course, my family Abdulah & Candice Mohammed, along with George and Mechelle Ybarra, for being a huge part of my ventures.

Finally, my SE EVENT PLANNERS TEAM: Annabel, Nelly, Prizz, and Candice. Teamwork makes the dream work.
