Life & Work with Jordan Bradshaw

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Bradshaw.

Hi Jordan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From a very young age, I have always loved singing and songwriting.

My love of singing started with the Star-Spangled Banner at family events, and songwriting started with writing poems in middle school. In high school, my love of lyrics and music led me to make a mixtape and sell it to my friends at school. Fast forward to 2018 and two of my friends told me that they wanted to financially support me to professionally record two of my songs, which led to my very first Spotify release. Since then I’ve released 12 singles and 1 EP, and on December 2, 2022, I released my first-ever full-length album called “Changes”.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The music industry is one of the most difficult industries to break into so becoming a “superstar” will always be near impossible. As I continue to write and record my music, I’ve always been sure about one thing – I don’t make music so that I can become rich and famous.

I write my songs because I know that there are people out there who may be going through the same exact thing I am. So being able to hear a song that they can relate to and helps them know they are not alone has always been something I hold close to my heart.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At the very core, I am a songwriter. Being able to tell a story through music has always been my most prominent talent and these past few years I have been able to really take it to the next level.

I have written songs for other people who asked me to and even started a series for my old company where I would do song parodies of popular songs and relate them to our business. I truly believe that my songwriting ability is second to none and I hope that I am given the opportunity to showcase that talent to a large audience.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Chase your dreams, no matter how big they are. Success is a relative measurement and YOU are the one who sets the bar. My goal in music is to inspire and give someone hope.

Most people might measure the success of a musician by the number of streams or revenue generated, but if I am able to give one person hope in their darkest times with my music, then I’ve done what I set out to do; that is how I measure my success. So don’t let anyone tell you how to be successful.
