Life & Work with Joshua Hunt of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Hunt

Hi Joshua, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The Journey started when I was 5 years old, sitting in the living room watching Remember the Titans and a song came on called Anit No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell and I instantly fell in love with music. When I turned 9 was my first time interacting with music learning how to play trumpet, learning different type of music genres. When I turned 12 is when music grew deeper for me instead of listening music with words, I started listening to instrumentals from works like J.Dilla, and jazz music from guys like Mile Davis and Bill Evans. Kanye West was my biggest influence on my start of being a producer, the way he flipped samples always kept me intrigued, so when I turned 18, I brought Fl Studio and been following the journey ever since.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t. There are days that I’m not motivated, life can get in the way it’s almost like working two jobs. I’ve always been an overthinker and at times that Henders the creative process.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I produce and also an artist by the name of JHunt.

Mostly proud of the songs and projects that I have out with the few artists that I work with DretheGr8, TheDonhimself, Chris.G and the projects I dropped last year.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Everybody honestly, My Friends and loved ones give me many words of encouragement. They play and post music for me at without me asking them to post it. One the most important thing is the genuine conversations; they always tell me to keep going. They know who they are!
