Today we’d like to introduce you to JulieAnne Lally.
JulieAnne, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my career as a wholesale insurance broker almost 15 years ago. I went to Texas A&M University and knew I did not want to work in finance. Insurance opened itself up to me and I haven’t looked back. I am now a Senior Vice President, Partner and the Real Estate Practice Leader at my company. I started my brand Lally on The Go after I had my second daughter. I was in a slump with getting dressed and not feeling my best. Becoming a mom is the best thing that’s ever happened to me and somewhere in the beauty of motherhood, I lost parts of myself. Always a high performer, I watched my health decline and stopped enjoying how I showed up for my family, my work, and even myself. I knew something had to change, and that decision led to a transformation: physically and mentally. Now, inspiring women to reconnect with themselves and feel proud of their accomplishments isn’t just something I enjoy; it’s my mission.I decided to create this brand to not only hold myself accountable but also to inspire other working moms and women, that you can feel fabulous regardless of the stage of life you’re in. I believe confidence changes everything: from how we show up in meetings to how we present ourselves to the world. Through my wins, hard lessons, and boundary-pushing moments, I aim to inspire others to own their presence, trust themselves, and take bold career steps while looking fabulous.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I started this really for fun and it has grown into something that I did not expect. I think part of the reason it continues to grow at the pace it does is so many women resonate with the content I am putting out there. So struggles have been the technology, horrible with all of that, ha! But what I have really enjoyed is connecting and having women tell me that “I used your tip and it worked” or “I just crushed that interview”. That to me is what this is about.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a wholesale insurance broker specializing in difficult to place property towers. I am most proud of the fact that I am able to have a high achieving career, and still be present for my family. It is not easy and there are many long nights involved, but being there for my daughters while they’re little is what is most important. I think what sets me apart from all the other high achieving brokers in my industry is my tenacity. I will not give up until we come up with a solution that is best for the client and will close the deal.
