Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Grabois
Hi Katie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was not raised in the metaphysical or magical home, my spiritual journey started later in life. Specifically I credit the beginning of my love of tarot to a visit that I paid to a psychic in Galveston, where she told me that I had “the gift” and that spirits were trying to communicate with me, so I should start working with the cards. Ever since then, I’ve worked with my cards and communed with the spirits on a regular basis. I began reading my own cards daily, and then started reading for friends, and then those friends encouraged me to take my show on the road and start reading for others; and I LOVED it! I love being able to connect with people in a deeply meaningful way, and helping them on their journeys in life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was not an easy road, because I had so much to learn about tarot and the meanings of the cards, as well as how to market myself and my abilities. I credit my community here in Houston for supporting me and encouraging me to keep at it, even when I have bad days.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
So I am a psychic reader and reiki healer; I provide guidance and healing to all those who sit with me for a session. For tarot, I offer a variety of readings for whatever your needs may be. I do these readings at local metaphysical shops and virtually via my Instagram or website. My reiki practice is growing, I do pop-ups at metaphysical shops and also offer distance-reiki virtually from the comfort of your home. I am most proud of the impact that I have on my clients’ lives; I truly believe in the power of energy work and magic for the benefit of all people. I think I’m known for de-mystifying tarot and reiki and making it easy to understand and embrace for my clients. It’s not what you see on television, it’s much more casual and intimate than a production in my practice.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Something that makes me happy is seeing my clients’ reactions to their readings or healing sessions; I truly do this job because I love it and love helping people. I always wanted to do something that positively impacted as many people as I could, and I feel like I’ve truly found my calling in this.
