Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Yancey.
Hi Natasha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Native to Canada with a Guyanese mother Ginger and Turmeric where staple products in our home and used for the medicinal benefits.
I was visiting a friend at the beginning of Covid who had made me a cup of Ginger Tea, he being of Jamaican descent and me of Guyanese we started speaking to the benefits of Ginger. Days later my coach brought up the conversation of Ginger sharing how he drinks it occasionally as well. After meeting with my coach that day and at home an idea came to me leading me to seek more knowledge to Ginger and Turmeric and their benefits beyond what most people use them for. I.E Upset stomach.
A week later, I went out and purchased some Ginger and Turmeric and started playing with the idea of creating a healthy drink that 1. helps build a stronger immune system. Being it was Covid I wanted to help however possible to strengthen folks’ immune systems minimizing sickness. 2. A healthy drink aiding in weight loss supporting a healthier digestive system.
As a personal trainer with the knowledge of how to eat healthier than the average person, I wanted a product that was easily accessible to anyone that wanted to add a healthier option to their lifestyle goals.
Being a competitive bodybuilder I’ve tried plenty of supplements in support to my competitive goal which many did not work favorably with my digestive system. Gingtum proved otherwise.
Many of my clients seeking weight loss consumed Gingtum and within days seen noticeable results.
I have locked down the formula and surprisingly the feedback has been beyond weight loss. Customers have reported how Gingtum has Minimized acids reflux, inflammation in conjunction to a healthier digestive system aiding weight loss.
In this present moment Gingtum has caught the attention of many who believe in the product and want to support the growth of the company Gingtum LLC.
We are now in the process of elevating Gingtum LLC as our goal is to support as many people possible whereas their health and wellness are a factor.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There have been a few struggles along the way however I’ve managed to get in front of it. Let me share.
Being a native Canadian born to a Guyanese single mother we did not come from money therefore the American dream was a fantasy that I wanted to turn into my reality. Once I was old enough to get into the work field I had an opportunity to work under a phenomenal woman who taught the importance of being a driven and ambitious entrepreneur.
Using that knowledge taught to me I worked hard and found myself in America.
Fast forward to June 2020. On this day is when the idea of Gingtum came to thought. This is where my obstacles and challenges began.
Within the 1st year (2020) creating the product was fun knowing the impact it would potentially have in support to one’s health and well-being. Sourcing knowledge, inventory etc and learning how to run my own business and so forth was exciting.
In 2021, the idea of scaling Gingtum LLC to the next level was planned however with the pandemic this came to a halt. Business was slow which forced me to alternative means to marketing in support to driving sales. My efforts were endless. The plan for Gingtum in 2021 was to advance to higher levels however with a drop in sales made this difficult to achieve.
Seeking alternative means to operate the business most efficiently with minimized costs and support was somewhat a challenge however with trust and believe I continued to push forward.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In past, I was a Director of operations running multiple salons and spas across Canada and the United States. Several of which I operated here in Texas I.E Premier Salons in Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom’s, etc.
I am currently a personal trainer operating out of a private facility catering to 1 on 1 and online training. Im also a competitive bodybuilder since 2014 and will go pro this year with a plan to compete at the Olympia in 2024.
I’m the Founder and creator of Gingtum LLC.
I am most proud of my children. I am a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 3. My first 3 reside in Canada and my youngest here in the US. My children are drive, They have watched how hard I work from back home in Canada till now and I’d like to believe that my work ethics have been of inspiration to their successes. I want to make them proud to say that’s our mom and although she’s alone in the U.S she didn’t allow anything to stop her from accelerating in her goals.
What sets you a part from others?
Not allowing anything to stop me from achieving my goals. Regardless of past hiccups and life challenges I’ve endured while in the US I continue to elevate mentally and spiritually. I’ve kept my vision of success not just for me however for my family and those I love first and no matter what storms I may face I continue to keep God first and trust his leadership.

Bob Proctor has been a great influence in support to understanding how the law of the universe works in favor to our mindset and outlook to success.

The Power of Habits (Charles Duhigg) has been a great read and one I frequent as a reminder to my successes.
Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill) is another favorite in fact I listen to several of his audibles.
The Power of Awareness (Neville) has been very inspirational and a book a frequent often.
