Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Durham
Hi Paige, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always gravitated towards fashion and music growing up. It didn’t help that the women that I looked up to (mother, aunts, grandmother) all had unique and bold styles that I was always surrounded by. I loved the joy and confidence it had them exude. When I was a little girl , I felt I had an eye for colors and they flow together. I remember being the friend to pack extra , EXTRA clothes at church camp and styling everyone before night service. Even more when I got older , I had turned into an outlet that I could express myself through ,when I couldn’t necessarily use my words. It was an act of defiance.But little did I know that would be a stepping stone that would have me from being a fashion observer/admirer to someone who facilitates – just a reminder of inner-confidence , highlighting the light in them. And even actualizing their thought to reality.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been easy. It’s taken a lot of patience, a lot of prayer , and MANY deep breathing exercises. Going after a dream/vision in a declining economy, and sometimes crippling anxiety can be difficult. Just a tad. But God has truly provided for me too many times to count. So I just keep my focus , choose when I need to take things too serious , and make adjustments and the days go by. That’s seemed to work.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in Wardrobe Styling and Creative direction. I am most proud of just having the opportunity to do what I love consistently. Being able to share that gift with others has been so rewarding. My focus is primarily editorial , It allow you to have the freedom of being chaotic or refined all while having a standard of elegance.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Honestly my loved ones have helped to make this journey easier. Having a village around you that is encouraging of your dreams and remind you to embrace the discomfort that comes with pursuing dreams. It’s very sobering and needed. Also , I’m blessed to have a group of friends (honestly , framily) that are all creative , innovative and beyond supportive as well. That’s rare to come by these days and I don’t take that for granted!
