Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca “Miss Malik” Malik.
Hi Rebecca, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up I expressed myself by writing poetry. I never shared it with anyone. When I became an adult I attended a spoken word. I recited a poem and was surprised at how receptive others were. I decided to eventually translate that into songwriting.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Apart from music I model and act. I’ve come across many model projects in which the photographers all find issues with my appearance and make it known. I’ve never allowed bad experiences to deter me from my creative path, because it isn’t about negative opinions. It’s about following my passion.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love to make others laugh, uplift and encourage them. I utilize social media to post inspirational quotes and comedy skits. I express traits about my multicultural background frequently, because growing up, I was made fun of for it. I just want to spread positivity and inspire others to follow their heart.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to be an attorney so that I can enhance my ability to assist others. I’m also looking forward to creating more music and adding videos to my podcast.
