Hi Reuvane , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Yes I began working in the entertainment industry when I was five doing plays as a young boy modeling and as I grew my talents grew I continue to work in playwriting stand-up comedy and stage plays when I was abroad in Frankfurt Germany opening for several different national acts like Millie Jackson Freddie Jackson Anita Baker just as a young teenager. Once I came back to the States I continued to work on my crab and this stand-up commonly kind of sparingly but got back into the industry in Austin Texas with a Management group by the name of status entertainment that I started hosting indie rock bands funk jazz bands and other different types of various artists. What’s moving to Houston I started a different entertainment company by the name of the platform Media group where now we host comedy shows poetry shows and live music shows all over Texas we’ve been to New Orleans as well as la. At the present moment I have about 10 different prolific poets that span from Houston Texas to New Orleans as well as Dallas I also have about 20 different well-known comedians in the Houston and Dallas area as well as San Antonio and Austin and we’ve been traveling around bringing bringing awareness in the form of artistry to all types of various topics as well as laughter and love and peace to the masses. I myself been doing stand-up comedy and bringing laughter for about the last 10 years but right now currently I hosting I also do stand-up comedy and do comedy gyms and workshops for various comedians I pray that I’m able to share some of those comedians and some of their social media contacts just so people can go and view their work as well as some of the poets. Several of my business partners soapbox live comedian and music producers salon from LA some of the comedians on Natalia Stacy Anderson lean Dean guerrilla warfare Matthew funny fat boy leaf and the young prodigy Jay Russian and as well as Rich today all very talented individuals,In conjunction to that also own BA LANCE Moorish cigars. Which has been in business for the last 3 years and doing fairly well because of the cigar industry being a booming industry at the moment you started balance more cigars after first starting balance wines at all vegan all natural organic fruit wine. Our cigars are manufactured and created specifically to our liking and distributed from Dominican Republic. I’m overwhelmed and appreciative to voyage giving me an opportunity and a platform to share my businesses my passion and my talents with the world.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When it comes to obstacles and challenges I don’t posture myself like I’ve never had them I just turned every obstacle and challenge into a phenomenal asset to my advantage learning from my mistakes taking those life lessons and turning them into positivity. I do believe the challenges of things that come into our lives to create what I like to say is the aviation formula to flight which is drag and lift without enough drag or something waiting you down will not cause you to be able to elevate into the beautiful friendly skies so I appreciate and welcome obstacles and challenges and never let allow opportunity for these obstacles and challenges to defeat me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
With a platform Media group is a networking vessel or vehicle to bring fresh new comedians and poets to the world and give them an opportunity to express themselves on those particular mediums we also host shows at Blue prolific Studios which is a black on Art gallery here in the Houston area known for dynamic local artists as well as artists from broad and all over the nation we do live music there we do poetry do comedy we have meet and greets and conversations about current events and daily affairs we also do poetry at the different various venues that we have selected that have been generous enough to allow us to come into there establishments and share these talents right now we’re working on the platform Media group doing a road trip in the lower South East and eastern states of the United States as well as traveling back and forth from Vegas and LA in the coming months. As far as blunts more cigars we’re just doing our best to continue to get our cigars into the different marketplaces get a cigar rating and be featured in cigar magazines locally as well as nationally it’s been a slow process but with here for the fight
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Favorite books The alchemist power of now has so many favorite books those are two that come to mind that I greatly appreciate as well as the pilgrimage of Paulo Cohelo iis one of my favorite authors I just recently finished the book I couldn’t tell you the author but it’s called tailbone which is a very lovely story about an unknown young Korean girl and sold it ran away and found her destiny. We just recently did a podcast short interview for the platform Media group with aim a i m out of LA and looking forward to do some more work with them we also have our own the platform listen to platform podcast coming out in July of this year
