Life & Work with Sherri Roberts

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sherri Roberts.

Sherri Roberts

Sherri, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My work as a journalist has allowed me to combine my passion for research, writing, and meeting fascinating people from all over the world!

I grew up in a family of authors, speakers, and musicians, which nurtured my curiosity and creativity. As a director of marketing at one of the nation’s top plastic surgery groups, I enjoy using my communication skills across many platforms, including public speaking, magazine articles, video, and social media.

On the side, I’ve had the privilege to participate in modeling and volunteering at a homeless shelter as a reading teacher.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is to focus on fulfilling my unique calling and to do the work I’ve been given to the best of my ability each day rather than comparing to others.

I surround myself with uplifting leaders who inspire, love, and challenge me while avoiding gossip and strife-filled social settings, which are a distraction and a waste of time.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a marketing director, I strategize with award-winning plastic surgeons to create a branding presence with the ultimate goal of increasing profits.

In this role, I produce content across many digital platforms through articles, ads, website content, social media, video, and patient resources. In addition, I’m excited that I have been invited to present my marketing expertise to plastic surgeons in Japan at an aesthetic conference later this year.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
My thoughts on this are summed up by the words of my wise great-grandmother, “You have to put feet to your prayers.” As a Christian, I believe the wonderful opportunities I’ve experienced are the result of my choices – how I use my skills and talents in conjunction with God’s guiding hand upon my life.

Proverbs 3: 5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” With that in mind, I pray often and strive to do excellent work.
