Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started with curiosity—just an experiment. My passion for music and photography has brought me to where I am today.
I started by recording local musicians and artists whose music I enjoyed listening to. Then I began promoting local bands by creating reels from live music and dance events. My goal was simple: to promote music through photography and storytelling.
Surprisingly, I accomplished exactly that. Along the way, I helped shine a spotlight on many talented Houston artists. I proudly call myself The Repost Queen because I believe reposting is a powerful way to support one another and help creatives grow.
Over time, I also became a storyteller by consistently sharing the stories behind the artists, the music, and the moments. My mission is to celebrate Houston’s creative community and inspire others to discover the incredible talent that surrounds us.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I struggled a lot with editing videos. It was time-consuming, especially when striving for perfection. Eventually, I chose to embrace imperfection instead.
My reels are filled with random moments captured in their natural state. There’s no acting or staging—just authentic moments as they happen.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an aspiring Houston artist inspired by incredible performers such as Rosalía, Nathy Peluso, Guaynaa, Héctor Lavoe, Michael Jackson, and Rauw Alejandro.
I am currently working alongside Adrián Suárez, an award-winning Venezuelan composer, as I continue to grow and develop my artistry.
I am known for my bubbly personality and my ability to bring people together, creating connections and building strong communities. That is a mission I am deeply devoted to.
What sets me apart is my genuine ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I believe everyone has a story worth hearing, and I strive to make others feel seen, welcomed, and valued.
Above all, I am most proud of being the mother of four incredibly gifted and talented children. They are my greatest accomplishment and my true masterpiece.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Attend as many events as you can, and have a clear vision of what you aspire to achieve. When you’re intentional about your goals, you’ll naturally attract the right mentors and opportunities.
Building meaningful relationships with the people you admire is essential. Don’t be afraid to put your work out into the world. Share it with confidence, be proud of what you create, and let it speak for itself.
