Today we’d like to introduce you to Sue-Jamie Cruz.
Sue-Jamie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Honestly, it was a leap and a long overdue one at that lol. For the longest time I’ve been interested in marketing and creating/taking videos and pictures, but I didn’t take it seriously. Finally, I came to the realization that I love creating content and there were people who needed and wanted help in that department. Especially business owners – it would help enhance their business online and therefore bring in more revenue for them. I also take pleasure in teaching, so I try to incorporate business and content education so that entrepreneurs who are DIY style can learn and implement themselves .
So roughly about 6 months ago we launched Nurtured Studios ( which started as Nurtured by SJ ) and we’ve been helping passionate brands visually tell and promote their vision since.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s actually been smoother than I thought. I’d say that I’ve definitely been blessed with lots of opportunities and support from the get-go. It hasn’t been perfect but that doesn’t exist anyway. I’d say the most constant struggle that comes and goes is the roller coaster of waves that business throws you as an entrepreneur. It looks different for everyone of course but it’s all a part of the bigger picture.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
So specifically we specialize in media. Social media and creating media content. We’re a creative agency that creates video and photo content for brands who are passionate about their business but looking for that missing factor of branded content.
Our videos project true emotions through the content whether it’s the owner’s love of their craft or the emotions their business brings. We focus on capturing the true heart and vibrations of the vision, talent and brand in a creative and out of the box kind of way.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe it’s the fact that we go out of our way for our talents. We’re very driven, ambitious and dedicated, We don’t like coming up short on performance. We feel there’s always a creative solution to make the project happen.
