Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my Small business “SincerelyTee Lashes & Accessories” in mid 2018. Selling Strip Eyelashes & Accessories , such as Make-Up, Bags, and Jewelry. My Passion was to always become a License Lash Technician after meeting a Dear Friend Katherine “Kaddy”, who was from out of state and was also a License Lash Technician. I wanted to go into doing Eyelashes the right way, which required out of pocket fees that I couldn’t afford. So that wasn’t an option for me at the moment.
I decided to continue with just selling strip lashes & accessories, and later take my small business to the next level! After a whole year of saving I finally enrolled at San Jacinto Community College Eyelash Technician Specialist program, where I became Nova Lash Certified and Texas State License Eyelash Specialist, in 2020.
I now Specialize in Hybrid and Volume Eyelash Extensions, As Well as Colored & Lash Decal Eyelash Extensions. I’m Also a motivational Influencer to my peers and Podcaster. I’m so proud of all my accomplishments thus far, and I’m so ready to see what my future holds.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but I didn’t expected it to be. Before going into anything new, I spend a lot of time researching things. I prepared my mind ahead of time and learned from others’ input, from watching a lot of YouTubers and Podcasts. The pandemic as well started in the middle of me going to school, so it really put a hold on a lot of things and hands on practice in and out of school. I for sure have wanted to quit so many times, but that would have made the last 3 years a waste of time. And of course, it will all be worth it at the end!!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in Individual Eyelash Extensions, which is usually around a 2- 2 1/2 Hrs. service. This service average around $65-$200, depending on location (could be way more) and/or the type of set you choose. Lasting 2-3 Weeks Long !! What sets me apart from my Eyelash extensions are my Colored & Decals Sets.
I love being outside the box and creative. I’m not only known by my work but by my go-getter attitude. I love that I Naturally motivate others, and the respect and support I have gained from everyone. I’m most proud of my Accomplishments and that I learn in my early teenage years of being in management in my everyday work life, how to provide great customer service & conduct myself in a professional way.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Along my journey, I’ve learned that you will not always have good days. Things will get hard, and real life issues will come and go. But if you’re serious about your creation and your business, you’ll always make a way. I’ve learned to ALWAYS KEEP GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING THAT I DO, and that it’s okay to ask questions to others that have more knowledge than you do.
