Hi Thalia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, I’m Thalia, I’ve always been someone who genuinely enjoys helping others. Over the years, I’ve worked in the medical field, with my last role in OB/GYN, where I developed a deeper understanding of how hormones impact the body including the skin. That experience has truly shaped the way I approach skincare today.
Over time, I realized I wanted a more hands-on, results driven approach where I could directly impact how people feel about themselves not just from a health perspective, but also their confidence.
That’s what led me into esthetics. I became a licensed esthetician and quickly found my passion in corrective skincare, especially treating acne, pigmentation, and overall skin health.
In 2023, I decided to go for it. I started my business from the ground up, building The Skin Bar Aesthetics with a focus on results and personalized care for every client.
Now in 2026, I’ve been able to grow even further by working under medical oversight with a medical director, which has allowed me to offer more advanced treatments.
I’ve built an amazing clientele and am proud to have over 140 five-star reviews, which truly reflects the trust my clients have in me and my work. I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come and I’m only looking forward to continuing to grow, expand my services, and help even more clients feel confident in their skin.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Starting my business from the ground up came with a lot of challenges especially being a one woman business handling everything from treatments to marketing, scheduling, and client communication.
One of the biggest challenges was building a clientele and gaining trust in the beginning. I had to stay consistent, show up every day, and really prove my results. There were also moments of self-doubt, especially when stepping into something new and investing in myself and my business.
As I’ve grown, another challenge has been navigating the medical side of the industry making sure I’m compliant, getting proper medical oversight, and continuously educating myself so I can safely offer more advanced treatments.
But every challenge has helped me grow, both personally and professionally. It’s taught me discipline and the importance of always learning. Looking back, those obstacles are what shaped my business into what it is today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a licensed esthetician and the owner of The Skin Bar Aesthetics, where I specialize in corrective skincare. My focus is on treating acne, pigmentation, and overall skin health through customized, results-driven treatments.
With my background in the medical field. I’ve developed a deeper understanding of how internal factors like hormones affect the skin. That allows me to take a more comprehensive and personalized approach with each client, rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.
I offer advanced services such as corrective facials, chemical peels, intimate peels and microneedling, and I’m continuously investing in education to stay current and provide the best results possible.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients. I’ve grown such an amazing clientele, and it means everything knowing they trust me with their skin.
What sets me apart is the level of care and intention I put into every service. I truly take the time to understand my clients, educate them, and create a plan that works for their lifestyle. My goal isn’t just to treat the skin for the moment, but to create long-term results and confidence.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is just spending time with my family, especially during simple moments that didn’t seem big at the time but meant everything like weekends together, laughing, and feeling supported.
Those moments really shaped who I am today. They taught me the importance of connection, care, and making people feel comfortable and valued, which is something I now bring into my business with every client I see.
