Today we’d like to introduce you to Titus Byrd.
Hi Titus, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I decided to start my own network after I finished playing basketball because I wanted to have a platform where I can empower other athletes and entertainers. I know it’s a lot of athletes with great stories and obstacles and need to get there stories out. I also wanted to continue to be around sports without coaching. I decided that starting Titus Byrd Network would be perfect. I have so many relationships with athletes because of basketball career and decided to put my resources to use. So I began to reach out to some of the professional and college athletes that I know and pitch some show ideas or ask to interview or document them. And that’s pretty much how I started.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all. Some athletes will agree to sit down with me but their schedules make it hard. Well, at least they wouldn’t fit me in their schedule because I’m a true believer that people make time for things they want. Regardless of those things, I just stay focused and continue to reach out to others and keep working.

My advice is to converse with as many people as possible. Network! You never know who you may be talking to and if they can help you. Life is about relationships.
