Today we’d like to introduce you to Tonisha Anderson.
Tonisha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The happing one-stop shop was my vision. As a single mom raising two boys working two jobs. It was very hard making time for my hair, the boy’s haircuts, and my nails. I always said if I can do all this at one location this would be such a convince. In 2020, I did just that. I opened Hair Gallery Studios Located at 2844 Verot School Rd Lafayette, LA. There is a braider, Barber, natural hairstylist, short hair stylist, and nail technician located in one salon. Hair Gallery Studios is multicultural family salon where all types and texture hair are welcome. Whenever you are in the neighborhood make sure you come sign the wall. Toni T I the owner wanted everyone to have a part in the decorations and had every sign the wall. Which gives the salon a personal unique home feel.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have a big heart and want to help everyone. In this day and age that is impossible to due. Keeping my staff on the lates and newest trends gets very expensive with classes, transportation, and logging. That takes a lot of me financially, so there are a lot of events and fundraisers that we have to miss. I want to do some upgrades to the salon and complete my certification in cosmetology instructor. I spend a lot of time in the salon and to complete the program for cosmetology instructor it will take a lot of time financially I can finish this right now.

What’s your fantasy? I am a hair stylist that can create any look you may want.
What do you think about happiness?
Seeing a person Smile after I give them that look they ask for is happiness for me. I have a client that was going through a bad break up which made her depress. She came in, we laugh I gave her a new look, and she has been having a lot of good days. I have a giant huge personality you are guaranteed to smile and have a good time at the salon.
