Life & Work with Verlincia Hill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Verlincia Hill.

Hi Verlincia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hello Dreamers! I am Verlincia Hill the owner and founder of Dealing Hope 101 a beginners business development service geared towards providing a mental shift to people. I help them monetize their gifts by using technology and other resources. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas in an inner-city neighborhood known as Sunnyside. My dad served 20 years in federal prison for being labeled a king-pen of a million-dollar drug operation and my mom worked as a PCA for over 20 years. I spent a lot of time with my loving nana(grandmother) who’s deceased now, because my mom worked at night. When I was born, I was basically rich, but things drastically changed for us when I was about 3 years old. That’s when my dad went to federal prison. My story is parallel to many people who grew up in places deemed as “the hood.” Financial literacy wasn’t as popular back then as it is now. Especially in predominantly black communities. So, over the years our riches diminished.

By the time I was 16, I was pregnant with my 1st and only child, Jeremiah. I graduated high school at 17 and went on to study Business Administration and Management at Texas Southern University. While in college I was blessed to get a job working for a collection agency that provided full benefits and paid what my 18-year-old self-thought was good pay at the time. While it wasn’t my dream job or career, it truly helped me develop my communication and computer skills. My parents have always expressed how proud they were of me for being a leader and having such a strong mindset. I’ve always been intelligent and possessed great leadership qualities. I noticed that the people closest to me always come to me for advice and follow things I do. From reading, to cars, to home decor, to my daily habits, I have a way of giving people the courage or idea to try new things. So, I decided to use my gift of leadership and influence in the most positive way I could. I still hear stories of how solid and well known my dad and family were in Sunnyside in the 80s. I decided to deal hope to my community to keep that legacy alive and make a more positive impact and difference. That’s where Dealing Hope originated from. 101 serves as a beginners or entry-level formula. This is the birth of DealingHope101 and me becoming The Hope Dealer.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This has not been an easy task! It’s much harder to sell positivity because negativity is more entertaining. Like I’ve heard people actually tell me this. One of my biggest struggles is also what made me go full throttle after my dreams. Coping with the loss of my first cousin who was also my first best-friend. She died in her sleep at the age of 33. I just turned 33 on 1/11/22. This was a hard pill to swallow. Realizing how precious life is keeps me completely engrossed in my purpose. It helps me keep going no matter what. Since my business is built on using technology and social media to earn money, I must stay up to date with the latest technology which can be very challenging, because its constantly changing. I also lacked the confidence and courage for a long time to truly follow my dreams. My struggles are what make me fully equipped and capable to help others.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a mother first, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and author. My ebook “I Dare You to Try…Internet Trappin’ for Beginners is out now. I specialize in helping people with similar a background to mine reach their full potential. Many people want and yearn for a way out of poverty, but they don’t understand that they must escape it mentally first. I’m notorious for being the positive reinforcement in situations. I am most proud of my success stories. The people whose lives I’ve been able to make a positive impact on means everything to me. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I won’t just tell you how to win, but I make it my job to help you win at a very economical cost. In this digital world, I take the time to learn ways to make money online and share it with my supporters. Right now, in addition to my business, I work as a lead at a medical supply warehouse. This gives me great benefits and the ability to invest in myself and my future. I also help build websites and invest in stocks and crypto.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the social life and the ability to really network to net worth in Houston. There are plenty of opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals. We can meet up share ideas, learn from each other, and gain prospective customers. I dislike the rising violence and crime rates. Especially the road rage violence.
