Maranda Evans of 610 South Loop on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Maranda Evans shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Maranda, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I believe I am called to do a movie on my life. It’s a dream I always wanted since 2016, but I never had the courage to go through with it. Now, I have started the process and my movie is expected to be released January/February 2026.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Although I have three businesses, I want to speak on my new life coaching business, Elemental Growth Mindset. Our mission is to empower individuals to unlock their full potential, overcome challenges, and achieve personal growth through evidence-based techniques grounded in Cognitive Behavior. We strive to provide compassionate support, practical guidance, and personalized strategies that foster lasting positive change in our clients’ lives.

I am already a motivational speaker but I wanted to help each individual directly. I wanted to create a more intimate environment for others. I became a Certified CBT Life Coach in June 2024 and launched my business in the same month. I was nervous at first because I don’t have a psychology background but I do have a spirit of faith and strength that I know can help others.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful is releasing my first book, Troubled. To release my story of loss, heartbreak, and abuse to the world was the most empowering moment for me, especially because I was helping so many other women and girls.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
The defining wounds in my life was losing my dad, grandfathers, and godfather, essentially all the men in my life. I’ve healed by creating powerful initiatives after them. I have a domestic abuse nonprofit for my dad, and scholarships named after my godfather and grandfathers. I took my pain and turned it into purpose.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would say my nonprofit, The Troubled Movement.

The Troubled Movement, Inc. is dedicated to uplifting teen boys and girls 11-18 by providing mentorship and education programs. We believe every teenager should experience positive influences to combat their at-risk circumstances, such as, mental health issues, education barriers, and household struggles.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would probably stop working a corporate job and start my dreams and success as a multifaceted entrepreneur.
