Upon graduating from high school, I was uncertain about my career path. It was my mom who suggested I explore a career in real estate, knowing my ambition to eventually work for myself. Inspired by her guidance, I founded the Adam Olsen Team, a move that marked my first step into the entrepreneurial world. As I grew in the industry, an opportunity arose to expand my business, leading me to acquire the Commercial Professionals. This venture not only broadened my expertise but also solidified my commitment to building a significant presence in the real estate sector.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road; every business faces its hurdles. One of the main challenges I encountered early on was establishing credibility and building a name for myself at a young age. Starting out in real estate at a young age, it was difficult to win over some clients who were hesitant to trust someone they perceived as just a “kid.” Despite these initial doubts, once clients gave me a chance, I was able to demonstrate my knowledge and dedication to their needs, consistently proving that age was just a number when it came to delivering quality service and expertise. Ten years later, we were ranked by Real Trends as #3 in Texas and #5 in the US for transactions sold, as seen in the Wall Street Journal.
