Today, we’d like to introduce you to Adenika Buirse. Adenika was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Stephanie Hobbs.
Adenika, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
I am a jewelry stylist and business owner. I assist customers with styling their accessories; creating high-end fashion looks without breaking the bank. I’m a resource to help people discover trends they usually shy from, but compliment various physical aspects. Watching customers embrace new styles they previously would not consider is one of many highlights for me.
I was born and raised about 20 minutes outside Little Rock, AR. My passion for fashion developed at a very young age. My grandmother was a seamstress. During my visits to her home; which was often, I spent a lot of time watching her create, but I also spent just as much time with her McCall’s, Sears, and JC Penny catalogs; imagining how I would someday be in a position to also create high fashion looks; not only for myself, but others as well.
I became a teen mom at 17 and forewent my opportunity to go to college on a full scholarship. To do so was a huge disappointment for me; as I could no longer pursue my education in fashion and dance. For years, I felt I’d missed out on life. I eventually realized, being a mom is one of life’s many blessings. Motherhood at a young age has afforded me a tenacious spirit, compassion, empathy, and a passion for people.
My journey has not been easy, but with God’s grace and mercy; well worth it.
Please tell us more about your brand, Phauxie Bling Collection.
Our brand’s focus is empowering others and helping to build confidence. As a business owner, I believe my transparency and character aid my ability to connect with my audience. My interest and hope is to continue building in a more collaborative capacity.
So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Stephanie Hobbs and Style Me Stephanie and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Style Me Stephanie.
I first came to know of Stephanie via social media. I love and admire that she’s confident, comfortable and bold at the same time. I also became aware of her work; having styled several women for fashion shows and personal projects.
I initially reached out to Stephanie in 2021 to work on a project which I later delayed. The vision changed, but not my desire to work with her. Spring 2023, we began to work on my first project with accessories as the focus.
There was no doubt Stephanie would deliver, but to say I was impressed with her selections is an understatement.
My admiration for Stephanie and her work grew even more. Her ability to read people in regards to their style and what compliments them as well as the occasion is truly her niche.
