Adriana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Shelley Roberts and I have known and worked with each other for over 10 years! Mint Beauty Studio came to fruition when we both dipped our toes into the permanent makeup world around 2022 after having gotten our brows done. We quickly fell in love with it and decided this was something we wanted to pursue together. Both of us having cosmetology and management backgrounds, it felt natural for us to start a business centered around beauty and helping others find it within themselves.
Our success within our first year of business opened many doors for us. This includes adding new and diverse services such as body contouring and permanent jewelry! Additionally, we were able to expand into our new bigger studio, where we were able to create a space for our dear friend and now colleague Kat Mendoza of Kat’s Lash Alchemy to offer lash extension services.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As a small beauty business, finding new clients will always be the biggest obstacle for us. While the beauty industry can be a saturated place, making a name for ourselves by providing quality services and connecting to the community has been our greatest tool to stand out and attract new clientele.

We offer a variety of services at Mint Beauty Studio including: Permanent Makeup, Body Contouring, Lash Extensions, and Permanent Jewelry!
With permanent makeup, we can create (or restore) your confidence using semi-permanent cosmetics tattoos! From brows to lips, we’re able to enhance your natural beauty and simplify your daily routine so you can get up and go without worrying about your makeup.
Body contouring is our bread and butter at Mint Beauty Studio! We offer several non-invasive body slimming treatments that will leave you tight, toned, and lifted from head to toe. Our treatments include: Radio Frequency, Ultrasound Cavitation, Laser Lipo, Brazilian Butt Lifts, Wood Therapy, and RF Anti-aging facials.
The most rewarding feeling is having a space that clients can leave with a completely new sense of self confidence and beauty!
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
While we don’t have any specific books or podcasts that we dive into currently, our most impactful practice has become daily yoga! We find it helps us connect to our bodies and reminds us of our ultimate intention and purpose we wish to continue carrying throughout our lives! Being a business owner can be an incredibly hectic journey, but going back to our mats keeps us grounded through the chaos.
