Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexia Domini
Hi Alexia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Art has always been my personal escape, a way to process my feelings and music has played a similar role in my life. I’ve been DJing since 2017, and music has always been a way for me to express myself and connect with others. Last summer, I took another step forward and began producing music with another producer from Houston, ANGIIE. In addition to my musical journey, I’ve always been involved in some form of art or photography, whether it be through school classes or personal projects. In 2017, I deepened my focus on graphic design, which eventually led me to digital illustration. Over the past year, I’ve been honing my skills in this area, experimenting with mixed media, 3D modeling and blending various techniques. I love creating art & music that’s dynamic and expressive, no matter the medium, and I’m excited to continue growing as an artist and producer.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. A lot of the time, I’ve had to work hard to gather the resources needed to turn my ideas into reality. Whether it’s saving up for equipment/supplies or teaching myself new software, I’ve often had to figure things out on my own. It’s been a journey of perseverance, but each challenge has taught me how to be resourceful, innovative and more determined in bringing my creative vision to life, whether it be art or music.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a DJ, music producer, and visual artist. My main focus is on graphic design and creating digital media, where I specialize in illustration, zines, and promotional materials like flyers. I’m most proud of two key projects: my very first zine, which I created and shared with my community last October, and releasing a club EP with ANGIIE titled “Fantasy Land”. Both projects have allowed me to merge my passions for music and visual art. They were a great way to connect with others and an amazing opportunity to share my passions with the community. What sets me apart is my ability to blend creative disciplines—whether it’s through music, design, or visuals—creating experiences that are immersive and dynamic across different mediums.
