Meet Allia Foley of Prayzeworthy Epathekere in Pearland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allia Foley.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Allia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always been the peacemaker in my family and the friend that carries the burdens of all the “strong” friends in my circle. People are naturally drawn to me; a lot of times in search of some sort of resolve. In retrospect, I now believe these happenings happened because my purpose attracted them.

A seed was planted on my quest to figure out what my purpose truly was. It seemed as though God had given me so many things, but I had yet to master one. So, what do you do? I made a list with the sum of all the gifts God had given me, then I ranked them with service and freedom (in many forms financial, creativity, etc.) as the heart of the criterion. In essence, I was attempting to see: where could I be of most service, how could I live in all of the abundance promised to me, and most importantly where could I give God the most glory in an authentic way? My answer was Prayzeworthy (Praiseworthy) Epathekere (Apothecary), and healing was the way.

The seed that was planted was to create a business that would be able to aid folks (whom have been drawn to me) on their healing journeys. Folks who are striving to see their WHOLE-selves (spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically) actualized. It is my personal belief that healing is a form of resistance and a worth it battle. So far, we have been able to provide folks with a variety of natural products, remedies, and herbal wellness recommendations on their journeys. We recently began facilitating a 30-day Whole-self Detox to rid ourselves of toxins and bad habits that may have been picked up or manifested through the course of this year. These tools have positively impacted customers and clients thus far.

As a new business owner, I am constantly striving to incorporate my unique set of skills into the work being down; to maximize the value my customers and clients are getting from the overall brand. I am constantly learning and creating content based in divine revelation and traditional study means. I hold a Master’s in Teaching and I am currently pursuing graduate degrees in Social work and Disaster Resilience Leadership. With this array of knowledge within the next 3-5 years, Prayzeworthy Epathekere will be able to provide a full spectrum of services from herbal/natural remedies to Therapy sessions for a wide variety of traumas or general mental health needs. The purpose of Prayzeworthy is empower people to be their Whole-selves through healing their being. I am proud to be the owner of a company with a mission such as this.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Becoming a business owner has been one of the most interesting processes that I have ever been apart. It is beautiful to see the fruits of your labor, however, the labor is not for the faint of heart. I have experienced my fair share of trials and tribulation throughout the work.

The three biggest challenges that I have faced are…

1) Financial sacrifice – When I first started, I did not have a team of investors backing me, so I fronted myself all of the start-up capital. There were times when I would have to go without in order to make sure I could purchase something in the name of Prayzeworthy Epathekere. You have to learn to be ok with that.

2) Time – I was teaching and a full-time graduate student at the time of start-up. I had to give up a lot of free time to make everything work together for the good of the business. Again, you have to learn to be ok with it.

3) Fear of Rejection – This challenge is still one that I am constantly at war with. Prayzeworthy Epathekere is like my child. I feel like I carried and nurture this thing for a long time and now that it has been birthed it is my hope that people see the labor of love that was. Sometimes, folks might not, and that is something that I have had to learn is out of my control. You can’t allow what folks will think dictate your purpose.

Even though these things have presented themselves as challenges, they still were necessary in order for me to accomplish what I am being called to accomplish. I am reframing the way that I look at the labor that goes into this work daily and embracing it as it comes.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Prayzeworthy Epathekere – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Prayzeworthy Epathekere is a W(H)olelistic W(H)ealth company that strives to aid folks on their healing journeys. We believe that healing is one of the greatest forms of resistance and it is imperative that folks begin to walk within their Whole-selves (Spiritually, Emotionally, Mentally, and Physically) in the present. We offer herbal remedy recommendations, natural temple care products, herbal aromatherapy candles (debuting in November 2019 :D), self-care routine creation, and courses to aid in healing. We believe in giving our customers and clients the tools they need to feel the most empowered and equipped for their journeys to wholeness through wholelistic healing. What makes our brand unique is the deep level of care, prayer, and love that goes into each product and customer/client interaction. We hope that you all, as the customer or client, will be able to feel that and use it as encouragement in your healing process.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Prayzeworthy Epathekere has undergone some rebranding since the original launch in April of this year. We are introducing some new products to our online store and have some new courses in the works for the essential oil and herbal remedy novice. We hope to continually add more services and products to our brand with the customers and clients healing at heart of it.
