Today we’d like to introduce you to Allie Gibson and Anthony Bugno.
Allie and Anthony, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
The Rouxpour, pronounced (RAPOR), is a New Orleans inspired concept by Mack McDonald and Lincoln Ward. The two teamed up in the early part of 2010 to begin the planning and development of the restaurant located in Sugar Land’s bustling Town Center. McDonald and Ward then hired veteran chef J. L. Quevedo, and the three began developing a menu reflecting the flavor and culture of New Orleans renowned French Quarter. The Rouxpour officially opened Labor Day 2010.
The second Rouxpour opened in March 2016 at Baybrook Mall in Friendswood, Texas.
The third location with be in located in LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch in Katy, Texas and will open winter 2017.

The Rouxpour specializes in the best New Orleans style cuisine you can get without actually going to New Orleans. We are known for our New Orleans vibe and our famous chargrilled oysters. Some even say they are better than places in New Orleans.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think Houston is one of the best places to start a restaurant. We are so multi cultured and already have some of the best cuisine around.
