Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Celeste.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began in the Mortgage Industry over 12 years ago. I moved from Austin, Texas where I was a classically trained Dance Instructor. I started from the ground level, with zero knowledge of what a Mortgage even was. I grew from being the office gopher to cross-training in various aspects of the Mortgage process. I landed in Marketing in Business development, after finding that it brought me the most Joy and what I was great at. After 9 years in that space, I decided to put my Mortgage license to use and joined, what is now known as, The Mortgage Collective. I am fortunate to serve alongside some of the Industry’s brightest Originators. Collectively, myself and our Team operate in the Top 1% of producing Lenders Nationwide.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Never, and quite frankly, I am better because of that. I often struggle with the fallacy that is “work/life balance”, and navigating the journey of building scalable business while being a Mom. The Mortgage business is also equal parts rewarding and refining. Every day presents its own set of problems and victories. I have also found that with each Season of growth comes new and different challenges that implore us to continually level up. The uniqueness of the Market we are currently in, for example, requires a depth of grit like we’ve not known in a while.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Mortgage Collective?
Our Mission statement says it best: “The Mortgage Collective is a group of passionate, servant-hearted leaders that exists to positively impact the communities they serve, the families they assist while they love and value those around them.” We are a group of fiercely talented Mortgage professionals who keep community, transparency, and authenticity as the center of what we do. I believe that we are so much more than Mortgage Lenders here at TMC. We have a heart, and that will always set us apart.
What does success mean to you?
I believe Success is subjective. One day, Success for me may look like remembering to brush my teeth due to my lifelong Journey with Mental Illness. The next day, Success looks like helping put a Million dollar buyers under a contract. But, if I was to define what I hope my Legacy will be, I hope that it’s one of Love and Service. If I leave that kind of Legacy, I am beyond Successful.
