Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Moorman.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My journey started three years ago when I was at a really low point in my life. I was struggling with weight gain, depression, and infertility all brought on by my PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). I was tired of just barely getting by with my unhealthy lifestyle and I knew I had to do something.
Over the course of the next few years, I lost over 30 pounds, balanced my hormones, and became pregnant in January 2019. After regaining control of my own health, I felt called to pay it forward by helping people discover the best version of themselves. It is now my passion and my purpose to coach and guides others to reach their health and fitness goals. Whether my clients need help figuring out meal prepping or finding a workout program they’re actually excited about, I am their partner on the path to a happier and healthier life.
Now that my little girl is here (three months old!), I’m more determined than ever to maintain this lifestyle so I can be an active and present mother in her life. I want to be a positive example to other moms for what postpartum health can look like.
I’m just truly honored that I get to do something I love every day that helps people while building a more financially stable future for my family.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have definitely been struggles! I started this business while I was pregnant and working a full-time job (which I still do), so I use every extra minute early in the morning and late at night. This has been a labor of love built into little pockets of my day. I’ve also been met with some skepticism by friends and family for pursuing this opportunity. But this is something I am extremely passionate about, and at the end of the day, I am here to help people.
My business is run almost entirely through my Instagram page which has its benefits and challenges. I pour my heart and soul into the stories I share on my page which makes me feel really vulnerable sometimes. But if it encourages just one more person to make a change in their life, then it’s worth it.
I’m really just getting started. Now that I’ve had the honor of working with some amazing clients, I’d like to add others to my team to coach along with me. It’s my dream to make an even bigger impact by reaching more people to help change lives.
Allison M Fitness – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a health and fitness coach dedicated to helping people achieve their goals and enjoy a healthy, fulfilling life. I use the tools and programs that helped me achieve success on my own journey, and it brings me joy when I can help clients find excitement in building a healthier lifestyle. I advocate for balanced nutrition because I believe life should be more than just living from one diet to the next. I’ve seen firsthand how the food we put in our bodies affects our physical and mental health, it goes far beyond just weight!
A large portion of my clients and followers are other women struggling with PCOS and infertility. I think my story speaks to them because they’re often is a lot of hopelessness and confusion on how to manage those symptoms. But what I hope my story shows anyone that there IS hope and there IS a better way to live.
I’ve enjoyed seeing my business grow, but what I am proud of most of all is knowing that I am making a positive impact in the world. Getting messages from clients telling me how the dropped a dress size or how they feel so much more confident, that just makes my day. Knowing that I am helping someone change their life is the best feeling ever.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me, success is knowing that I’ve built something that makes this world a better place. For my business, that means bringing more positivity into the lives of people I work with. I want my legacy to be defined by helping others. I imagine those will be the stories I tell my kids and grandkids, not how much money I made or the things I owned. That may not be as tangible, but it will be what makes me satisfied with the life I’ve lived.
