Meet Alma Jimenez of Touched Beauty Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alma Jimenez.

Hi Alma, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2018, I was living in Austin, Texas, working as a lash artist for a close friend when I received orders to deploy to Afghanistan. After completing my deployment, I returned to West Texas 2020 during the height of the pandemic. Soon after arriving from deployment, I became pregnant and realized that my life was going to change completely. While I was excited for this new chapter, I knew I didn’t want to be a stay-at-home mom without a sense of purpose. So, I decided to start lashing again — this time from a small setup in my spare bedroom. What began as a hobby quickly became my creative outlet and a reminder of who I was before motherhood. I wanted to keep my skills alive, something I had poured six years of passion and dedication into. Later that year, my partner received orders to be stationed in Kentucky, and we relocated once again — carrying with us not just our little family, but my dream that was slowly starting to grow roots. During our time in Kentucky, I worked hard in perfecting my skill with every client that walked through my door Not only was I getting better and growing as a Lash Artist but the desire to have my own business started to grow within me. I then decided to treat my “hobby” as an official “business”. Here is where, Touched Beauty Studio, was born. Before our return to Texas, I poured alot of time learning the business side of having a business and educated myself deeply on my profession. Not only did I want to learn the systems used in running a business but I also wanted to provide my clients with the best high quality products. In December of 2022, we returned to my hometown in Montgomery, Texas. As soon as we arrived, I was eager to get back to doing what I love. I began posting my lash work on social media, hoping to let people in the area know about me and my artistry. Little did I know how challenging that would be — the beauty industry had grown, and there were lash artists everywhere.
Even with little to no engagement on my posts, I refused to give up. I set up a small lash room in our spare bedroom and kept creating content, hoping for a breakthrough. Days went by, and still… no messages, no appointments, no engagement. It was discouraging, but deep down, I knew my dream was worth fighting for.Eventually, I realized that maybe people were hesitant to come to someone’s home for a service. That’s when I decided to start looking for a space to rent — somewhere that would feel professional, warm, and welcoming. January, 2023, I came across an office suite near downtown Conroe, and something about it just felt right. Without a single client lined up, I took a leap of faith and signed the lease. It was one of the scariest, yet most empowering decisions I had ever made. Once I had the studio, I started brainstorming ways to bring in clients and make my name known in the community. I decided to run an ad in the area, and slowly but surely, clients started coming in. It felt like a blessing — a reward for all the faith and persistence I had poured into my dream. Now, two and a half years later, my business still stands strong. What started as a leap of faith has grown into a brand that I’m truly proud of — one that’s now among the Top 10 Lash Studios on Google. My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been filled with purpose, growth, and a reminder that when you trust yourself, everything else follows.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has definitely come with its share of challenges. From the very start — finding the right suite, trying to get people to know about me, and building trust in a competitive area — it was anything but easy. After about a month of being open and posting consistently on social media, not a single person booked. I started to question myself and wonder if I had made a mistake.
Eventually, clients came in, and I felt hopeful. But as the months went by, things became unpredictable. Some clients stopped returning, others moved away, and I found myself struggling to stay consistent. It was one of the hardest seasons of my business — trying to stay positive while balancing life, motherhood, and the pressure of making things work.
There were days when I felt completely defeated, but through the glory of God and deep prayer, I found the strength to keep going. In those quiet moments, I learned to surrender my worries and trust His plan for me. Every prayer brought me peace, and every challenge became a reminder that God’s timing is always perfect. Looking back now, I can truly say that every obstacle I faced shaped me into the woman and business owner I am today — stronger, grounded, and forever grateful for the grace that carried me through.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Here’s what I want readers to know about my business and myself. I am a Lash Designer with over ten years of experience, specializing in freestyle sets that are uniquely tailored to each client’s eye shape. Every set I create is intentional — designed to enhance natural beauty while reflecting the personality and confidence of the woman wearing it. Beyond lashes, I am also a Lash Educator and Brow Artist, offering everything from permanent makeup to shaping, mapping, lamination, and all things brow artistry. My studio, tucked away near downtown Conroe, is truly a hidden gem — a calm, welcoming space where women can come to relax, be cared for, and leave feeling renewed and confident.
What sets me apart from others is not only my level of expertise but the authenticity I bring into my work. Each lash set and brow service is performed with purpose and heart. My goal has always been to create an experience, not just a service. A place where beauty meets intention and women feel beautiful inside and out.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Im also a Veteran who served for 10yrs in the Army. I jumped out of an aircraft over 300 times during my time in service. Before my vision of having a lash and brow studio I was pursuing working for Secret Service. Little did I know god had other plans for me.
