Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Howell.
Amanda, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
JudyRose Craft started as a hobby to help out friends decorate their house and for me to be occupied with a new challenge of trying something new. What started with a simple Christmas wreath has now grown to creating chic and trendy tumblers, decorative pieces and unique wreaths. Judith and Roselyn are my loving grandmothers and the inspiration for this next step in my life. If it wasn’t for their lifelong support and love, I would not be the woman I am today. Every piece is handcrafted with the same nurturing and love that has been bestowed upon me from these amazingly strong women.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
JudyRose was always something I did for fun and a creative way to challenge myself. I have been in the hospitality industry for the past ten years so it was difficult to find the time to really do big projects or learn something new alongside the hustle and bustle of event planning and management. I would be able to do a small project or be creative with some clients in their events and sometimes that would be the only time I would be able to do something.
With the recent events, I am not in event/sales industry at the moment so I have used this time to really dive deep into new techniques and schemes. Now past and present friends, I get to reconnect with and create fun things to make our days brighter!
JudyRose Wreath&Craft – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
JudyRose wreath&craft specializes in unique, seasonal wreaths, customized tumblers and decor that is not necessarily sold in stores but fun to have! I don’t like shopping for things knowing 30 other homes may have the same thing. I want to make things that are special to the customer and their home, taking one of a kind to its furthest reach. I strive to make sure each wreath is different in colors, accents, etc. I want each product to be as detailed to the customer’s personality as possible. I am most proud of my products for being as amazing as my customers and not one object will ever be the same.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of the proudest moments has been the ability to stay home with my daughter and have her by my side throughout the way. She may only be two, but she is getting more creative and inspires me to be better and do better. Plus, she is a great cheerleader and thinks everything is pretty!
