Ain’t no party like a Barkday Pawty!!!
The Barkday Planner was a dream come true! Four years ago, I married my wonderful husband, Trey, who thankfully embraced all of my dog-obsessed self!!! Quickly, our furry family grew from 2 to 3 to 6 amazing fur-babies! Somewhere in the mix of our family growing, my passion for planning and love for dogs magically came together. I began creating and hosting my own dogs “barkday pawties” for all of their furiends in Houston! It quickly grew, and before I knew it, I had friends and family asking ME to plan their precious pup the Barkday of their dreams! Within a few short months, The Barkday Planner was born!!!
Thanks to the “pawesome” Houston dog community, our barkday pawties grew from one pawty a month to being completely booked months in advance! My precious pups are my everything & my inspiration. They are the true reason I decided to pursue this dream of mine, creating The Barkday Planner! It’s because of them that my barkday wishes came true!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Creating any new business can certainly have its ups and its downs. But if you sit, stay and pawty the day away the ups will always outweigh those pesky downs!
I would say one of the small struggles we faced was “fetching” out what all Houston dog owners wanted in a barkday planner. Gathering the most popular themes, to the best dog-friendly venues was key for The Barkday Planner’s success! Other than sniffing out those small details, it was a piece of CAKE!!!

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was your typical animal obsessed little girl! There wasn’t an animal I didn’t ask for… (my poor parents!) From the day I could say “dog” I begged my daddy for one! I just knew animals would be a huge part of my life. While growing up, I always wanted to become a veterinarian or a professional ice skater! I know, two completely opposite career paths, but I loved everything about them! I was always a very determined, outgoing and bubbly person!
