Amber, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today?
I started photography initially as a personal interest. I have always loved Art and after I had my fourth child, I decided I wanted to become a professional photographer. Soon after, I enrolled in some photography courses at Houston Community College. There I met some incredible people that assisted with starting my photography business. I started out only wanting to photograph children and families; however, that soon changed after I shot my first wedding. Now I mainly shoot weddings, events, and portraits. I have been in business for 6 years now, and I’ve learned so much about this industry. It has been an amazing journey.
Please tell us more about your brand, Amber Charles Photography.
I am a wedding, event, and portrait photographer. I also offer film and branding services as well. I would describe my style as natural and clean-cut with a hint of boldness. I feel the main things that set me apart are my outstanding customer service skills and attention to detail. I truly make it my business to serve my clients wholeheartedly so that I can provide them with the best-finished product possible. Memories are important to me and I like to capture those special moments by preserving them in the form of timeless photos. I have developed a talented team of professionals who understand my vision and are capable of bringing those visions to fruition. Once the celebration is over, all you have left are your pictures and video(s).

I met Lauren through a bride who hired me for her wedding. After our initial meeting, she booked me to capture branding images for her website thereafter. We immediately connected as soon we met. We are both hard-working professionals who are passionate about our businesses. Lauren’s work ethic is truly amazing. She also provides her clients with great customer service and care. When my team and I have a wedding or event scheduled with Lauren, we can anticipate a stress-free work environment. Her weddings and events are always timely, professional, and organized. She and her team are always in constant communication with us from start to finish and provide my team with the necessary creative space. In my professional opinion, brides should always make it a point to hire a Planner/Coordinator who maintains excellent relationships with their vendors.
