Today we’d like to introduce you to Amiee Cacolice.
Amiee, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started photographing in California with my father with an old Pentax 35mm. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts focusing on Photography. Then I began managing photographers for over ten years. With my skill sets and talents, it gave me the opportunity to start my own business. My primary focus is on Professional Headshots and residential Real Estate.
Has it been a smooth road?
By far, this has been a steep learning curve. From developing my own marketing plan and materials, corporate structure, networking and sourcing necessary equipment. It is very exciting making decisions that directly affect the dollars spent and daily operations. My effective time management with my aggressive goal setting has saved the day on many occasions and helped to set the pace for exciting growth in my industry.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Amiee Cacolice Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
Amiee Cacolice Photography specializes in Professional Headshots and residential Real Estate. First impressions last forever. Having a professional appearance on your marketing material is often the first time your valuable clients get to see you. I specialize in making you look comfortable, professional and at your best. This also applies to Real Estate. Your clients deserve photography that works as hard as their agent. This is your resume too!
The detail and customer service I pour into my photography really does show. I am not just a girl with a camera, I am a professional and I take every photo opportunity seriously.
I’m most proud of the amazing growth I’ve experienced this past year. Taking a business from ground zero to profitable growth while developing meaningful relationships with other like-minded professionals from all types of businesses.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
With the exponential growth of social media, a majority of marketing is all digital now. Fortunately, this requires a significant increase in photography. I know it’s tempting to just use a brand new iPhone, but that format just can’t give you the professionalism that customers are demanding. With the average email/FB post lasting only 8 seconds in front of your prospect, will it get and hold their attention? Are you really in front of mind?
Being mobile and able to deploy to a client’s place of work, or home allows me the flexibility to meet them on common ground and accommodate their already packed schedules.
