Meet Ana Torres of Blessed Photography in North Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Torres.

Ana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My story. It all started the moment I grabbed my first disposable camera. The moment I knew I wanted to photograph people and their most awkward moments. At first, my dream was just be a paparazzi and move to Hollywood. The more I spend photographing people at my church or the school’s social events. I realize the people around me were more amazing than some actor. The more I realize how little we didn’t value those moments where we laugh until our tummies hurt or when we cry and all we want to do is hug someone. I love photographing the emotion in people. I like to call myself the paparazzi of life. I try to photograph the unexpected moments. I didn’t want to ever go public because I wasn’t so confident to show it off. However, my husband encouraged me to make a page and start from there. Next thing you know, friends and family are asking me for my service. It’s always an honor to be trusted to photograph a person milestone. It means the world to me.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been a nice bumpy road. I believe no road to something great should be smooth unless your like a billionaire.

Even then, photography is a growing industry. There are so many of us and it becomes a bit challenging.  So not smooth, just very much a learning process through it all.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Blessed Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
Blessed Photography is not just a company. It was born for the desire to be able to give every one a chance to have moments to hang in their walls or even share with others.

I have BIG dreams for Blessed Photography.

We specialize in Maternity + Children but we love all moments.

Every moment from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep is important.

Every day our lives impact others and how amazing is to go back and see those moments.

Blessed Photography is not just another business, it’s people who truly just want to be there to document important moments, so when we look back we can see and laugh at those precious moments we left behind.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Technology is changing every day. It’s hard to say, but let’s hope cameras never go out of style.

I hope since alot is coming back in style, they get to bring the vintage cameras back to life. How cool would that be!
