Andrew, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started Handy Andy TV Mounting in 2020 as a necessity when the world changed. Prior to that, I was a self-employed handyman, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, my general work virtually dried up overnight. Faced with nearly zero income, I desperately sought an opportunity to pivot and build a real, focused business based on my existing skills.
I realized my true interest was in home theater and technology, so I made the crucial decision to niche down. I transitioned from general handyman work to specializing exclusively in TV mounting and Home theaters.
I built the entire business from the ground up with zero capital and no outside investors. Every dollar earned was reinvested. Since I couldn’t afford a marketing team, I taught myself everything about SEO, digital advertising, and online lead generation. That initial grit and commitment paid off.
Today, Handy Andy TV Mounting has successfully expanded its operations and now services clients across three major cities and 10 employees. While the scale has grown, the core satisfaction remains the same: I love solving complex problems and helping people transform their home into their dream space.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Learning marketing was the biggest struggle. I couldn’t afford a marketing team so I learned everything myself and I’m still learning to this day. I learned that just because you can calibrate a projector doesn’t mean you can run a Google ad.

We specialize in home theater and tv installation.
We are known for being able to accommodate customers within hours, most of the time. We have very well trained technicians that devote their entire career to this.
We are most proud of our customer interactions. When you call our business you get a real person that can walk you through the whole process. If you don’t want to call we have a super easy online booking system that can be done by anyone with very little knowledge.
I want readers to know that unlike most companies we go above and beyond. We treat every customer like our only customer. We have a streamlined process that has been perfected over the years. We make everything as easy as possible but also affordable.

What matters most to me is a mixture of the technicians making enough money to support their families but also the customers being able to get a premium service at a reasonable price.
