Thanks for sharing your story with us, Andrew. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
Clothing to me is a form of art that allows me to express my internal thoughts in any creative way I please. As you may see, the aesthetic and overall appeal of my collections are expressed through a very dark and intense manner. A lot of people have a misconception about this and automatically perceive it in a negative way; however, it is the complete opposite. The grungy and dark toned photo shoots, clothing, videos, etc. you see released with my collections are A way of allowing me to express myself to the world in a very therapeutic way because it not only allows me to express my feelings and emotions but gives me a chance to relate to an audience out there that is experiencing similar internal damages with the overall message to show that you’re not alone.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Overall entering the industry of fashion has been very therapeutic for my mental state. Of course it can be difficult at times being a young entrepreneur and all of the obstacles that come along with it, but in the end, it’s all worth it because u have the opportunity of doing what I love.
INSWIF – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My company’s name is INSWIF, which is an acronym I created for the phrase, insightful wisdom functioning. Within INSWIF, I am the owner that started the company and gladly take in the rolls I could’ve hired other people for such as the creative directing, designing, management, etc. with this I also have the opportunity to have complete creative control as far as what I put out to the public and how I see my collections of clothing to be published.
The primary thing that I have been known to stand out from other clothing company’s is the intense and vulgar vibes that are portrayed through my clothing collections. I tend to never have a filter when it comes to creating art because of the fact that people cannot learn from the art of it is sugar coded and summed down
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
My idea and perspective towards Success to me has always been very different than others. I look at success not in a way, do financial status but internal status. Success can come in all sorts of forms, but what truly matters when defining your success is if you personally have a cane to acceptance and happiness with how you want to live your life.
