Meet Anil Rana of Envy Couture by Anil in West Chase

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anil Rana.

Anil, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My Journey began in 1992 when I joined Formal Collection as a manager and marketing & sales consultant. During my time here I began designing evening gowns, and by 1995 I started my own company A.N.I.L. a High Fashion clothes boutique in Houston, specializing in evening gowns for Pageants, Galas and Prom.

I also choreographed and styled Fashion shows on local and international level. I styled Bollywood stars to name a few Kareena Kappor and Karisma Kappor during their performance tour in USA.

In 2011, I changed the name of my label to Envy Couture by Anil. I have been collaborating with Photography and Dance, styling live fashion and dance shows, photo shoots for professional models for their Blogs.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The Fashion industry is constantly changing and so are the trends in clothing, It’s very exciting and challenging at the same time.

I feel the greatest challenge has also been my greatest achievement in being able to create awareness of High Fashion In the city of Houston, bringing fashion to the lay person.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Envy Couture by Anil – what should we know?
My business label is Envy Couture by Anil, established in 1995, specializing in evening Gowns for Beauty Pageants, prom and Gala. We cater to a wide variety of clientele.

We specialize in gowns for plus size women with a wide variety of styles customized to the needs of every client. We also do styling for individual wardrobes and for events such as weddings, Beauty pageants and quinceanera.

We are proud for our individualized service that we offer our clients, our strength is to customize the dress and accessories, based on the body type, enhancing and focusing on the personality and natural beauty of each client.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The most important characteristic is our friendly and open environment, in which our customers feel very comfortable to work with us, allowing us to help them look their best.
