April, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started when COVID 19 arrived and I prayed and ask God what should be doing in a time like this. I always had a passion for interior decorating, fashion design, etc. I had decorated several family and friends spaces back in Mississippi. But I wanted to open my creative side up again here in the city of Houston.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Being a young single mother of a teenager. My life struggles became my motivation to create a legacy for my children. The transition from my hometown, Canton, MS to Houston, Texas was my biggest challenge but has been the best decision I ever made.

AMG Interior Decorating is a company that help clients create a space(s) that they would love to live or work in. AMG interior decorating specializes in personal shopping, and interior decorating. I’m proud that I can help my clients bring their ideas to reality. What sets AMG interior decorating apart from others is the uniqueness that I have when it comes with having an eye for space planning, detailed accessories, home staging and consulting to fit my client’s needs and create a space at an affordable price.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my childhood memories was time I spent with my grandma. From going to the grocery store, riding my bike to pick up items for her at a local family owned market. She taught me lessons I will never forget!
