Meet Ari The Brand of The A*R*I Brand in Southeast

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ari The Brand.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ari. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started pursuing my dream to be in the entertainment industry when I was 12 after I saw the Lil Bow Wow “Bounce with me” video. He was so small and I figured if he can do it so can I and so my journey began. I started off as an artist singing, rapping and dancing in girl groups and after many failed attempts throughout middle & high school, I decided to just go solo. My run as an artist was kind of a love hate thing. On one hand I loved performing and bringing my lyrics to life on the other hand I loved the thought of being able to change someone’s life by making them famous. When I was 20, I got the opportunity to show my skills as a writer by writing a radio version of a song for T-Pain, Shawna & Tay Dizm (Nappy Boy artist).

From that point on things just started to take off and have been going ever since. My aggressive yet out going nature is what got me where I am today. I’ve landed myself in some pretty unique situations with some pretty awesome people. Some of those situations include being on set with DJ Khaled for the “All I Do Is Win” video shoot, Opening up for Ice Cube as a back up dancer at the house of blues, So So Def private studio tour, private parties in the Hamptons, Beverly Hills, Miami, NY that included the likes of Kevin O’Leary, Halle Berry, Swizz Beats, Chris Brown, Tommy Hilfigure and sooo many more. I’m typically the youngest amongst my peers so I reached a very high peak before I was 25 and here I am now at the age of 31 just giving birth to my first child and reinventing myself to reach new career highs and it’s an amazing feeling. The most important part of my success was/is the support of my parents.

Has it been a smooth road?
Umm it definitely wasn’t a smooth or easy journey but that’s why it’s important to do what you love because no matter how hard it gets you’ll keep pushing through.

The main struggle I faced and am still facing today is learning who to trust in this industry because people will literally betray you after they’ve used you up.

The other thing is being a woman in a male-dominated industry you’re automatically looked at as a sex symbol so my integrity was tested a lot but like the true lady I am, I passed on all advances offered because I don’t mind working for what I want.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The A*R*I Brand story. Tell us more about the business.
Everyone refers to me as a Publicist but I consider myself an industry rep because I do a little bit of everything to ensure my clients have the best outcome. I’m known for making connections and being out on the scene. I specialize in onsite representation and marketing management.

I would have to say I’m most proud of just knowing to follow my instincts and being outgoing because of that I’ve placed myself in some unbelievable situations.

What sets me apart is that I speak from experience this isn’t something I went to school for. I’ve been an artist, model, radio personality, back up dancer and assistant Before I made my transition into public relations & marketing.

Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years? Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
So I’m currently getting into the lifestyle industry, event planning, wine & spirits and I’m really excited about that. So the goal is to become a household name within the next five years or sooner.
