Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariana Boyzo.
Hi Ariana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Ariana, and I’m truly honored to share my journey.
In high school, I took cosmetology classes for two years. At that time, it was mostly theory, but I discovered that I really enjoyed it. During my senior year, I became pregnant with my first baby. After graduating, I began working when my baby was just six months old. For many years, I worked multiple jobs as a single mom. Because of financial limitations and lack of time, I wasn’t able to continue my education, and I found myself in the same job for 10 years. It became my comfort zone, but deep inside I knew I wanted more—I wanted to reach my goals.
In 2022, I took a lash course and became passionate about it. However, I later found out that I needed a cosmetology or lash license to practice professionally. I continued to practice whenever I could on my sisters and neighbors, but my dream had to be put on hold.
In 2023, while pregnant with my rainbow baby, I came across an incredible organization that supports women who are pregnant or have children under three and who want to build a career. At first, I thought it might be too good to be true, but I decided to reach out and attend their orientation—and to my surprise, it was real. I had finally found an opportunity to pursue my dream.
The journey wasn’t easy. There were times I wanted to give up. Balancing school with a newborn who often cried through the night was extremely challenging. Yet, with the support of my teacher and the amazing friends I made along the way, I kept pushing forward. Their encouragement gave me the strength to continue when I felt like quitting.
Eventually, I graduated, completed all my hours, passed my exams, and achieved what I had been working toward for so long: earning my cosmetology license.
I know this is just the beginning, and there’s still a long road ahead. But with God by my side, I believe anything is possible. Today, I am focusing on lashes and facials, and I plan to expand my services over time. Every step I take, no matter how small, is a step toward my success.
My children have been my greatest motivation and source of strength throughout this journey, and I am deeply grateful for my family who supported me along the way .
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been hard and I’m not yet where I want to be but I’m working towards that.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m specializing right now in lashes, brows and facials.
