Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Cooper.
Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
As an elementary school teacher, I have always enjoyed creating fun and unique learning experiences for my students that included implementing themes that would engage students in learning. When I became a mother in 2013 I completely fell in love with planning parties for my 3 children. I literally love every thing about decorating events. As time went on I began to realize that I didn’t want to coordinate large events, but focus on intimate celebrations. During the Covid lockdowns of 2020, I began creating a plan that would allow me to do what I love in a more intimate setting. I started creating bohemian style picnics to service clients who were wanting to celebrate occasions and not be at a high risk of getting exposed to Covid. It worked out perfectly and I was even able to incorporate my husband’s catering business to clients who desired southern style brunch! Later, I added backyard movie nights and Teepee slumber parties to my list of services. Clients loved these types of events because it allows milestones to still be celebrated and not have the fear of being exposed to Covid!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The ride has not been smooth, but definitely been worth it. Every client and event is a learning experience. I create a checklist for each event, and as prepared as I think I may be, there is always the unexpected. Balloons popping and getting all props into the vehicle is still a major struggle, but just like all things in life I adapt and take each event one at a time and bring nothing but luxury service to clients. No matter what!

I am proud that God gave me a vision that I was able to bring to life during a pandemic. Many believed it was insane for me to start a business during a pandemic, but I prayed and manifested greatness and that’s what I pour into every event. All of my events are created with love that reflect my brand. Seeing the faces of my clients, especially the children is what I love the most.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I can definitely be called a risk taker. Taking risk has led me to some amazing opportunities in life. It is one of my favorite personal characteristics. I’ve always lived by” but what If it works”. I don’t focus on the negative outcomes that situations can bring but instead, I take all of that energy and pour into all the positives that could come from taking a risk. Being a business owner automatically labels you a risk taker, but I’m willing to take those risk to reach my goals. I never want to say “ I wish I would have.” I would prefer to know I took the risk than never risked it at all. In risk taking you either win, or grow!
