Meet Ashley L. Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley L. Brown.

Ashley L. Brown

Hi Ashley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started working at 15 as a lifeguard, and all my jobs after that revolved around customer service. In 2017 while working for a marketing company I took all the real estate courses but then Hurricane Harvey happened. Fast forward to 2019, I was a GM for a nightclub and begin to realize how toxic that lifestyle and job was so I decided to take the exams and become licensed. My first sale was referral that came from a close friend after only being licensed 3 months. I’m headed into year 4 of being a Realtor, and I’m striving to become better and better. Being able to do what I love, which is help people and make money at the same time, is a blessing.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would be lying if I said it’s been a smooth road. There are always ups and downs; that’s life in general. I’ve been fired by some clients, I’ve fired some clients, and I’ve even professionally exchanged words with others. However, I’ve built some great friendships, business relationships and even became a Godmother. I’m very big on building relationships over the transaction and that has worked for me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m realtor and can practice anywhere in Texas. But I specialize in Houston and surrounding areas. I’m one of few realtors who do leasing; I don’t work with just buyers and sellers. I help clients find a place to lease, whether a house, apartment, or condo. I also help clients lease out their homes and find the right tenants. I use social media a lot to get business and showcase what I do.

What are your plans for the future?
I need to get better with my social media presence; it’s not the easiest, but it’s doable. I would like to make top producer in 2024 and have $10 million in sales. This is very possible and realistic; I just need to tighten up and get it together!
